What a great weekend Swedish Day 2016 turned out to be. Even the quick thunder and hail storm didn’t upset the many visitors to this years show.
Here are the results from the seven awards available this year.
The peoples favourite Volvo presented by “Send Fresh Chocolates” went to Sarah Poulton and her Volvo 66.
The peoples favourite Saab sponsored by “Astley Motors” went to David Dallimore and his Saab 99 Turbo, seen here with Lesley from Orio.
Tailored Transports award for the best truck went to Irene Wittich and her Scania P94D.
The Dr Os Read, Favourite Young Swede award was presented by Shaw Wilson to Matty Bee and his Volvo S40
Chris Hamley gave an award to Iain Hodcroft for the furthest travelled.
Andy Briggs of ARB Property Services chose Martin Peachey and his Volvo V70 T5 for his Modified Swedish Car Award.
There was a special award in the name of Carl Byrne, a fantastic Saab Fan who recently passed away, awarded to Glyn Green and his Saab 9-3 Viggen Convertible.
