The ‘GWS’ January stroll 2016

Each year the GWS Saab Group run an event called the January stroll.

This year on Sunday the 10th they decided to visit the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum in Wiltshire, a small but very interesting collection of all things motoring.

Convoy along the M4

A brief stop to take in the view!

Saab fans from far and wide met at the M4 Motorway Services to convoy via historic Avebury to the Museum, where tea and biscuits were enjoyed, with hearty Saab banter flowing as much as the tea!  They even have a late model 99GL on display, which was nice to see, as Saabs aren’t often found in UK museums

A group meal had been arranged to finish the day at a local pub, where we enjoyed a delicious Sunday Carvery.

I would like to say a big Thank you To David D and the GWS gang for a wonderful and fun day out!  If you live in the Bristol or Bath area of England, you can’t go far wrong than to join this very friendly group of Saab enthusiasts

  1. Many thanks for your report Alex and glad to read you enjoyed the day. It is always a little worrying organising the January Stroll, simply because of the weather. Fortunately we were lucky – the sun did shine and plenty of SAABs appeared.
    Happy SAABin’
